Fred LaMotte of Evergreen’s Campus Ministries writes: "I have developed a website of soldiers' writings on faith and the world's religions to give our men and women in Iraq a human face. If we don't give them a human face, we may never bring them home. I hope that teachers and ministers will use these writings in their classes and ministries. These are not my writings, but writings by soldiers.  http://FaithintheZone.blogspot.com "

Give a monthly service for Mother Joseph residents
For almost 10 years several local faith communities have provided monthly services at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center (PMJCC) for the residents there.  A few of these commitments have asked for relief and we are in need of faith communities or their volunteers to provide a 30 minute service once a month.  Generally, these services are held at 3PM.   However, the best response of residents attendance is at the 11:15AM service. This service can include music, scripture, and prayer. PMJCC will schedule according to the needs of the volunteer.  If you are interested in providing this service, please contact:  Connie Walker, Director, Mission and Spiritual Care Services 493-7236 to arrange an appointment.
