You can sign up by sending us a note. Be sure you look at the calendar and find a meal and date that says "Needed". Please let us know which date you'd like, and we'll add you to the calendar. You'll receive a confirmation email from our staff.

• On the day you signed up for, you bring the meal to the shelter, and call the shelter's telephone number, listed above the calendars below.

• One of our staff members will come out and get the food.

Our guests love healthy meals with meat, fruits, and veggies. Many of our guests are older and may have difficulty with hard-to-chew or digest foods, so we recommend cooked vegetables and softer fruits. Stews and soups are always popular! Our guests also enjoy a variety of beverages, including fruit juice and iced tea, to accompany their meals.

With 58 shelter beds, we know that many folks won't be able to cook for all of our guests at once. 30 servings is enough to cover half, with the intention that another volunteer or group could sign up for the other 30. 60 servings are enough for all of our shelter guests. This ensures that we have enough for every guest.

That is a-okay! There are still ways to ensure our guests get fed.

Donate through a Local Business

Many businesses in Olympia could use some extra support right now, so consider ordering food as an option. We have collaborated with Pizza Time, Wayside Café, Well 80, and numerous other organizations to provide meals to our shelters.

Donate Foodstuffs

You can also donate foodstuffs to us! The local organization Bowl of Hope has been cooking meals for our shelters and can use your food donations to provide hearty, healthy meals to our guests.

Due to COVID-19, we ask that food be delivered in disposable containers. This reduces exposure and the number of items going back and forth to and from the shelters.

We do have some paper plates, cups, bowls, and utensils, but it would be very helpful if folks brought the disposable flatware, plates, bowls, and cups needed for the meal.

If your meal requires a non-disposable pot or pan for serving, please label it so we can return it to you the next day.
