LOCATION Temple Beth Hatfiloh 201 8th AVE SE, Olympia WA 98501 ORGANIZED AND SUPERVISED Catherine Carmel, Director of Jewish Family Life and Learning at Temple Beth Hatfiloh and former Interfaith Works Board member, will organize and supervise our summer camp. REGISTRATION Registration deadline is Thursday, July 20, 2023.
TEEN VOLUNTEERS You can make a difference—volunteer to help with our summer camp! Complete our registration form ➞ AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH Build community and awareness for people experiencing homelessness in our region through empathy-building exercises facilitated by trained staff from Interfaith Works’ Homeless Services. SLEEP OUTSIDE IN IMPROVISED SHELTERS Youth will sleep outside in temporary shelters they build from materials they bring to the event (tarps, cardboard, etc.). They are welcome to bring sleeping pads, pillows, and sleeping bags, but not tents (more details on this will be supplied). SAFE AND SUPERVISED The shelters will be in the grassy lot on the north end of Westminster’s property with on-site supervision and access to the facilities in the church at all times. EVENT DETAILS

Moments of Blessing are public, interfaith observations intended to foster healing and reclaim a place of violence or loss as a place of life and peace. Smith Found near Capital High School March 17, 2023 11/10/2022 Resetting Our Sacred TableYou are invited to this year’s interfaith celebration of community, “Resetting Our Sacred Table.” This year’s event will feature speakers and musical contributions from the diverse membership of the Interfaith Works faith communities and affiliated organizations. Our theme this year is The Path of Healing. This theme holds space for learning and sharing how our communities understand and celebrate healing, even when that healing involves pain, such as the healing that comes through sustained anti-racist and decolonization work. This is a free event and all are welcome.
10/26/2022 Day of RemembranceYou are invited to join Interfaith Works in a service of remembrance for those persons who have passed in Thurston County in the past year but whose remains have gone unclaimed at the Coroner’s office. This short, interfaith service will be held in person with an online option at Mills and Mills Funeral home and will feature reflections from a regional faith leader, music, and reflective readings. Special thanks to Mills & Mills Funeral Home for offering space for this annual event.
10/11/2022 Indigenous Peoples' DayPlease join Interfaith Works and the Faith Action Network as we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day with this interactive and educational engagement with author and activist Sarah Augustine. EXPLORE the history and meaning of Indigenous Peoples’ Day and how the Doctrine of Discovery continues to impact Indigenous people today through a case study of the Indian Child Welfare Act. Sarah Augustine is a Pueblo (Tewa) woman who lives with her family in White Swan, Washington. She is the former Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, is co-founder of Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery Coalition, and author of The Land is Not Empty: Following Jesus in Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery. This event is brought to you by Interfaith Works and Faith Action Network.

Interfaith Works and Meaningful Movies Project (Olympia Chapter) are proud to present: “Mission Joy: finding happiness in troubled times.” This documentary from 2021 celebrates the interfaith friendship between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu while exploring the science-backed wisdom of how to live with joy in troubled times.
